Our Story
In the early 1950`s, the Orient of Colorado was searching for a charity to assist the citizens of their State. The Search Committee came back with the suggestion of creating a Foundation to grant funds to pre-school children who were under the care of local Speech Pathology Clinics. This program was extremely successful by assisting children`s language issues whom may not have had the resources to apply for treatment.
The Foundation in Colorado caught the attention of the Supreme Council of the Southern Jurisdiction and the rest in history. Every Orient of our Scottish Rite now has Speech Pathology Clinics to assist children that cannot pay for their treatment. Thus, the RiteCare Program was instituted throughout the Southern Jurisdiction.
Can you imagine hearing your child or grandchild say Mommy or Daddy or Mamaw or Papaw for the first time. Brethren, that should register with you on the highest scale.
Our Team
IIn the Orient of Kentucky, we are very fortunate to have four RiteCare Foundations in each of our 4 Consistories. If you or someone you know has a child between the ages of 2 to 5 that needs assistance, please contact your Consistory Office for more information.The funds for the treatment of these children come from our Brethren. Let’s be as generous as we possibly can to support these RiteCare Programs. Your gifts are tax deductible and will go a long way in helping these children develop better speech skills and a better way of life.
